Visiting Dior

“Happiness is the secret to all beauty. There is no beauty without happiness.” – Christian Dior

The Outcome is Worth Overcoming your Fears

When it comes to luxury labels such as Dior it can be quite intimidating to enter a boutique. Most people are afraid of being judged or feeling pressured to buy something. For this reason most people prefer to shop online. Whilst it is very tempting to shop in the comfort of your own home, when it comes to luxury the outcome is worth overcoming your fears.

Here is why I highly recommend you to visit a boutique: First of all you are missing out on the whole experience! Entering Dior can be daunting, but from my own experience the people there are very friendly, helpful and down to earth. Sometimes it even feels like chatting with a friend. You can take your time and try on different items. Even if you went there with a specific item in mind, I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to have a look at other items as well. You might be surprised about an item that doesn’t look great on the shelve but suits you amazingly. When spending a fortune you really have to try it on and feel the materials to see if it’s right for you. Only because it looked gorgeous in a picture doesn’t mean that it’s going to suit you and your style. So think about it carefully before making any decisions and you will feel so accomplished leaving the shop, knowing that you made the right decision.

Enjoy your Carrie Bradshaw moment strolling around the city with your designer item.

My Lovely Experience

So this weekend I went to Dior without even taking any money with me.

I wanted to have a look at the Diorama and the Lady Dior which are my absolute favorites at the moment. In fact I am still trying to figure out which one to get. But I also went purely to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere at Dior. Dior just fills my whole body with pure joy! There is something magical about this place.. it leaves me speechless. Their interior design is impeccable and everything is so nicely displayed.

I ended up having a lovely chat with one of the girls who worked there. She was very excited about the breath of fresh air, which is coming to Dior thanks to designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, first female creative director of Dior. The new collection is very modern.. something between classic and rock and roll, suitable for a much younger audience, whilst still being very classic and timeless. Since the rocker – chic look is one of my favorites, I have the feeling that it will be exactly my thing!

So in the end I left Dior completely content with a copy of their magazine, which has been carefully put in an exquisite Dior bag.
